🇮🇶 Signed Iraqi Operation Iraqi Freedom flag, FG-061.
Crudely manufactured Iraqi national flag measuring approximately 80 × 130 cm, bearing 59 handwritten names, ranks, nicknames and personal messages from United States Marines and Navy personnel.

The inscriptions identify the flag as a personal deployment souvenir connected with 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, during the opening phase of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.

Several independent inscriptions refer directly to Iraq 2003, Iraqi Freedom 03, Iraqi Tour 03 and Spring Break Iraq 03, providing internal evidence for the flag’s wartime use and dating.

The underlying flag is an inexpensive local or regional production, constructed from very lightweight synthetic fabric with three sewn horizontal panels, a narrow tunnel hoist and a stiff, paint-like green design applied to the obverse only.

The flag appears to have been used as the personal deployment souvenir of PFC A. D. Miles and was probably signed in Iraq between March and approximately June 2003.
