DDR Volksmarine Dienstflagge (Naval Service Flag)
🔴 DDR Volksmarine Dienstflagge, FG-057.
East German 67 × 110 cm naval service flag with large state emblem variant.
Cotton flag cloth, multi-panel construction and heavy pigment-printed emblem within laurel wreath.
The proportions correspond closely to the official DDR specification published in the Volksmarine service flag regulation and later summarized in Gesetzblatt Sonderdruck 751 (1973). The central black-red-gold stripe occupies roughly one third of the flag height, while the state emblem including the laurel wreath spans about two thirds of the height.
Construction details — panel sewing, reinforced hoist stitching and metal halyard hardware — match typical institutional flag manufacture used by DDR government and naval units during the 1960s–1970s.
