Kriegsmarine Water Sports Flag (1936 pattern)
⚓ Kriegsmarine Water Sports Flag (1936 pattern), FG-053.
Cut-down example: originally 80×135 cm, now 78×87 cm (~43 cm removed at the fly).
Hoist-biased disc/anchor; red wool bunting; heavy cotton-canvas hoist with internal rope; darkened ring; no maker stamp observed.
This flag represents the recognised water-sports organisations within the naval training ecosystem (adopted 6 April 1936). It could be flown as the only flag on eligible craft, with use restricted to German nationals in approved institutions. The off-centre motif is intentional for legibility under wind set.
