Confederate “Southern Cross” flag (printed cotton, 85 × 140 cm)
🇺🇸 Confederate “Southern Cross” flag (printed cotton), FG-054.
Printed cotton example measuring 85 × 140 cm (approx. 3 × 5 ft).
Blue saltire with thirteen white stars on red ground, likely mid-20th century manufacture.
Owner reports use at a 1966 Chicago counter-protest (unverified).
The flag follows the Army of Tennessee design type, commonly revived in the 1950s–60s during Civil Rights tensions. Fabric and pigment characteristics indicate post-war printing, possibly for regional or commemorative display. No maker’s mark or stitching — edges are machine-hemmed with light fray from storage.
