Vintage West Germany Flag (Japanese Export, c.1955–59)

Preview

🇩🇪 Vintage West Germany flag with Japanese markings – rare Cold War era export, c.1955–59.
Unique wool bunting with kanji stamp and alloy clips.

This flag (FG-049) represents a rare Cold War artifact: a West Germany tricolour manufactured in Japan during the mid-1950s. The stiff wool bunting, multipiece construction, alloy swivel clips with a factory “bow-tie” logo, and bilingual markings – handwritten “Rep. of Germany” plus stamped kanji 西ドイツ – all place it securely in the years c.1955–1959, after Japan resumed exports and as West Germany entered NATO.
