Imperial Service Flag (Reichsdienstflagge) – c. 1905–1912

🏴 Rare Imperial Service Flag (Reichsdienstflagge) – official state flag flown on embassies, consulates and colonial stations.
This original Reichsdienstflagge dates from the imperial era, most likely between 1905 and 1912. Constructed from stitched wool bunting in black–white–red tricolour, it bears the crowned eagle in a white disc at the centre.
The flag served as the universal German state service ensign, flown at embassies, consulates, courts and customs houses, and in the colonies on government stations and harbors. Period sources also referred to it as the Reichskolonialflagge, and in Berlin it was used by the Reichskolonialamt (Imperial Colonial Office).
